IIMA has commenced the new millennium in style, as the symbol of excellence in management education, research and consulting. The institute's intensive selection process has led to its Post Graduate Programme (PGP) being rated by The Economist as the world's toughest management programme to gain admission to. It has also been ranked by Asiaweek as the Best Programme by Reputation in the Asia-Pacific.
The current batch of 260 students in the PGP program, selected from over 100,000 applicants, is exposed to a varied pedagogy which inculcates the skills of imagination, rationalization and focused hard work. Courses are designed to enable students to lead change in a rapidly transforming world, facilitate corporate decision-making through active consulting, and make significant contributions to public policies at work in the global paradigm.
