| Team Formation Rules for MouseTrap |

Registration is limited to a total of 600 teams on first come first serve basis. Also, note that 100 logins are exclusively reserved for international teams. |

| 2. |
|
The top 35 domestic non-IIMA teams (selected on the basis of rules detailed in Annexure 1) in Mousetrap will be eligible for two way train fare (Third AC – shortest possible route), lodging and boarding for the duration of Confluence 2007 on the IIMA campus. |

|
|
| 3. |
|
Team Size: 3 – 6 members from the same institute. Team name should be registered as <TeamName>_<InstituteName> |
| |
|
|
| 4. |
|
The top 10 international teams in Mousetrap will be eligible for one way air fare (economy class – shortest possible route), lodging and boarding for the duration of Confluence 2007 on the IIMA campus. |

|
| 5. |
|
Rules regarding modifications to the Mousetrap team – Please note that the rules have been designed to select the Top 3 teams in Confluence 2007 from among all the domestic and international teams. These three teams would be awarded the “Award of Excellence”. |

A Merit List will have the teams that have earned points according to their relative performance in the game. Please refer Annexure 2 for points table. As per the rules detailed in Annexure 1, teams may or may not be eligible for a sponsored (Travel, Lodging and Boarding paid) trip to Confluence. A Sponsored List will have teams that are eligible for a sponsored trip to Confluence. |

| Non – Mousetrap Registered Teams |

Any team that has not registered for Mousetrap and wants to participate in the other events can do so by sending its entries to the specified e-mail ids in accordance with the timelines specified in the relevant rules document. There is no separate registration procedure for the Case Contests. |

| Mousetrap Registered Teams |
| |
| 1. |
|
Teams that had registered for Mousetrap but are on neither the Sponsored List nor the Merit List are free to form new teams for other contests and have no restrictions with regard to continuing with the same team. |

| 2. |
|
Teams that are on the Mousetrap Merit List irrespective of sponsorship must bear in mind that they can carry forward their points to other events, if and only if they carry the same team throughout Confluence 2007, with one substitution allowed only for spot events during Confluence from 22nd Nov to 25th November. |

The substitution would not be allowed for any event before 22nd November. Any such substitution for events before 22nd November would imply a new team being formed and the new team would not be allowed to carry forward the points earned in Mousetrap. |

| 2. |
|
If teams falling in the above category want to add a new member, it would amount to changing the composition of the team that had played the Mousetrap Event. Hence they would have to participate in other events with a new team name and they would not be allowed to carry forward the points they earned in Mousetrap. |

| 3. |
|
Teams that are on the Sponsored List but not on the Merit list can avail of the following: |

|
Addition of Team Member - The teams in this category are free to add any number of team members subject to the maximum team size of 6 as mentioned in the generic team formation guidelines. However, the reimbursement would be given only for the number of team members as per the registration during Mousetrap. |

| 2. |
|
Substitution of Team Member - Substitution of an existing member by a new member is only allowed for spot events during Confluence from 22nd- 25th November. The substitution would not be allowed for other events like the case contests before 22nd November. Only one substitution would be allowed. |
|

| |
|
|
|
| Any misrepresentation of facts will lead to automatic disqualification of the team. |
